thrive Thursday “building a successful marketing campaign”

Building a successful marketing campaign is on the mind of every business owner that wants to take their business to the next level. Whether it be traditional or inbound marketing. How do we attract more customers? Not just more customers, the RIGHT customers. The ones that will appreciate our work and what we stand for.

Well, we have a couple of tips for you:

  • Know Your Audience

It’s amazing how many times we work with a client that doesn’t really know their audience. When we say Know your audience we mean KNOW them. Know who they are, what they want, how they want it, when and where they want it, how they prefer to buy it, how they feel about the product or service you provide. One of the most important things about a successful marketing campaign is content. We need to know our customers in order to provide the right content to attract them.

  •  Market Content not Your Business

This might sound crazy to some people but if all you market is your product or service, it will just look like cheap advertising and discourage that customer. There has to be content, some information that your ideal audience needs or wants. There has to be some value to what your marketing and only then, can you turn them to your business for the product or service they’re looking for.

  •  Share Relevant Information

One of the best tools that we have in the information age is social media. Social media gives us the opportunity to share information, videos, podcasts, pictures, and much more. Why not take advantage of this and share the information that RIGHT customer is looking for?

  •   Tracking

Here’s one of the key elements to a successful marketing campaign, tracking. Now, we’re not talking of just tracking what your customers liked or shared on social media, we’re talking about tracking everything. Every reaction, whether it be social media, website visitors, where they navigated on your website, what information they found useful, track everything and use that data to give them more of what they want and need.

  •  Repeat, Repeat, Repeat,

The average mind doesn’t just see something they like and go for it. Studies show it usually takes people seeing something they like from 3 to 7 times before actually purchasing it or at least ask for more information. So be patient and if you see good feedback keep at it, that’s what a successful marketing campaign is all about.
